Lenehan Legal is an in-house legal services provider.  Our mission is to handle matters which take focus and time away from your business, while at the same time working with you to keep your business out of harm’s way.

We offer a wide range of services in the areas of contract, disputes, mediation, debt recovery, intellectual property, HR/employment, data protection, terms & conditions, letter/document drafting, and general legal advice.  Additionally, we have a specialised focus on sports law, providing expert legal support tailored to the unique needs of the sports sector.

Paul Lenehan is a Director of Lenehan Legal and the Company’s founder. Up until establishing Lenehan Legal, Paul had practiced as a commercial solicitor, finishing in the position of Partner with an established and well-respected city centre law firm in Belfast.

Over the course of 15 years in his previous position, Paul saw many deficiencies in both how legal services were delivered, and in the system in which solicitors operate.  Paul’s consistent experience was that clients were not getting value as a result of those deficiencies.

Having become increasingly disillusioned with the legal system, and how it operates, Paul decided to make a change and set up Lenehan Legal.

Paul left behind a profession where substantial fees are often generated yet all too often legal advisers demonstrate a lack of understanding or insight into the daily struggles faced by businesses and those operating in the sports sector.  Clients are left to feel outside of the loop, with little say or control in their own case.

Lenehan Legal is different.  Our goal is to remove the need for businesses and sports clients to have reason to retain solicitors, by offering early and bespoke advice.

In the same way that a business will use freelance accountants for their management accounts, Lenehan Legal offers a similar service in the form of flexible legal advice on a freelance basis. We offer advice as and when we are needed.

Clients have access to Paul's mobile number and are encouraged to reach him at any time of the day; 7 days per week.  If Paul needs to speak to a client in person, Paul will visit the client, understanding time away from the client's desk is time wasted for the business.  Our flexibility allows us to tailor our service to the precise needs of our clients.

Lenehan Legal can be incorporated into your team in whatever way works for you and to whatever degree helps your business the most.  We are in-house legal counsel that you can pick up and drop off whenever and however your business needs us.  By adopting a more integrated role with our clients, and through working as part of their team, we are able to gain a much better understanding of their business and of the daily pitfalls and challenges that they may face.  With this insight, Paul is able to dispense the most appropriate and informed advice to our clients.
